Columbia Junior Team Tennis (JTT) League

Spring 2012 Season

  • Registration Begin Date–January 23, 2012
  • Team Registration End Date–February 23, 2012
  • Season Begin Date–March 2, 2012
  • Player Add-on End Date–March 28, 2012
  • Season End Date–April 27, 2012

The Columbia JJT League plans to host 2 registration/evaluation events. Onsite registration will be available and players will be evaluated so they can be placed on teams according to their skill level. The tentative dates and locations are as follows:

  • Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Greenview Park, Time TBD
  • Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Richland County Tennis Center, Time TBD

Please know that the league is in need of team managers for all divisions, but especially for the 10 & Under and 8 & Under divisions. If you have a passion for tennis and enjoy working with kids, this is opportunity for you to get involved. All NTRP levels are welcomed!

The Columbia JTT League is organized every Spring and Fall and places emphasis on fun, fitness and friends for young players between the ages of 6 and 18. The league strongly encourages participation; therefore all kids on a team will play. The divisions vary within the league according to age and competitive skills.

  • Matches will be played on Fridays at 5:30 pm
  • Rain make-up matches will be played on Thursdays at 5:30 pm unless both team managers agree to an alternate date, time, and place
  • Coaching is allowed during the changeovers by the team manager or the acting team manager. Parents are not allowed to coach, call lines, or help with the score; this will be strictly enforced!!
  • The home team provides the balls (4 cans)
  • Proper tennis shoes must be worn and this will be enforced.
